The Staff Selection Commission has a nationwide network of 9 Regional / Sub-regional Offices located at Allahabad, Bangalore / Chennai / Guwahati / Kolkata / Mumbai / New Delhi & Sub-regional offices located at Chandigarh & Raipur. Main responsibilities of Staff Selection Commission’s Regional / Sub-regional Offices include, inter alia, implementing the policies & programmes of the Commission, supervising & overseeing its field operations, liaisoning & establishing rapport with State Governments & their Departments, making arrangements for impartial & smooth conduct of examinations, assisting Interview Boards & servicing the Examination Centers within their area of jurisdiction. These Regional / Sub-Regional Offices are responsible for receipt & processing of applications for various examinations, issue of admit cards to the candidates, conducting the Interviews / PETs (wherever required) either at the Regional Headquarters or other major cities within the regions. Draughtsman Grade-I – Higher Secondary (10+2) of a recognized University/Board/Institution or equivalent). Three years Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering of a recognized University / Institution or equivalent
Scientific Assistant – B.Sc. Degree in Science (with Chemistry) as main subject OR Diploma in Petroleum Technology from a recognized University
Junior Cartographic Assistant – Degree in Geography from a recognized University
Research Assistant – A Master’s Degree in relevant specialty i.e. Zoology / Microbiology
Agricuture Field Man – 10 + 2 Pass with Agriculture or Botany as a Subject from a recognized Board or University & 1 Year experience of work in an Agriculture farm
Stockman – 1. Matriculate or Higher Secondary or equivalent. 2. Training as Stockman at recognized institute. 3. Two years experience in a livestock farm relating to supervision of feeding of livestock & maintenance of stock register
Senior Technical Assistant(Geology) – Bachelor Degree with Geology as a subject from a recognized University or Institution.
Senior Technical Assistant(Chemical) – 1. Bachelor Degree with Chemistry as a subject from a recognized University or Institution. 2. Two years experience in Lab Stream..
Senior Scientific Assistant (Microbiological) – 1. Master’s Degree in Zoology with specialization in Entomology from a recognized University or equivalent. 2. Two years experience of research in Entomology Preferably Biology and control of insects pests. OR 1. M.Sc. Degree with in Botany Specialization in Mycology of recognized University or equivalent. 2. Two years experience of culturing, identifying and studying fungi.
Senior Scientific Assistant (Chemistry) – 1. Master’s Degree in Chemistry from a recognized University or equivalent. 2. Two years experience of practical or research and teaching experience in Analytical Chemistry Candidates with experience in conservation and analysis
of Cultural property, like antiques, stone, metal, ceramics and wood objects or sculptures, painting and manuscripts etc. will be preferred
