Name of the Exam – State Service Main Exam
Organization name: Madhya Pradesh state public service commission
Vacancies available: Total number of vacancies are updated by the commission in its official notification
Age limit: Lower and upper age limit is between 21 and 40 years age relaxation for reserved candidates is according to the norms of notification released by the public service commission of Madhya Pradesh which are decided by Union public service commission
Eligibility criteria: An applicant must fulfill the necessary requisites to apply for the posts that are released by the Madhya Pradesh state public service commission
Educational requirements: Applicants must have pursued their graduation in any stream from recognised board/ university certified by union or state government
Exam fee: Rs250/- for Madhya Pradesh state category, for other state candidates it is Rs500/-for other candidates fee structure go through the official notification.
Preliminary Exam: The preliminary examination will consist of two papers of objective type (multiple choice questions). Each paper will be set in accordance with the scheme given below – (A) Both the question papers will be of objective type (multiple choice questions). Each question will have four probable answers grouped under A, B, C and D of which only one will be the correct answer. The candidate is required to record in the answer book, only A, B, C or D as may be adjudged by him to be the correct answer. (B) Each question papers will consist of 100 questions of 2 marks each. The total marks for each paper will be 200 and time duration for each paper will be of 2 hours. (C) Details of the Syllabi for General Studies and General Aptitude Test of Preliminary examination (D) Each question paper will be in Hindi and English.
Main Examination: Main Examination will consist of a written examination and an interview test
Written Examination: The Written examination will consist of seven papers of conventional essay type as given below:- Paper I, (General Studies), Paper II (General Studies), Paper III (General Hindi), these are Compulsory Papers each paper carry 300 Marks, & Paper IV, Paper V, Paper VI & Paper VII These are Optional Papers each paper carry 300 Marks.
Selection procedure: The mode of selection for the posts under state service examination will undergo in three stages,first stage is a qualifying exam that is prelims, second stage is mains and the qualified candidates will be selected for interview and the final eligible candidates will be recruited in the desired posts
Interview Test: The interview test will carry 250 marks.
